New · Unique to Talkpad
Speak in your language, type in theirs. Flip one switch (or hit ⌃⌥T) and Talkpad translates as you dictate – drafting emails, chatting on Slack, replying abroad. Pairs perfectly with AirPods for hands-free, on-the-go conversations.
How it works
Press and hold your chosen shortcut: Fn, Option, or Ctrl+Shift. Talkpad starts listening the moment you press.
Talk at a normal pace. Talkpad handles punctuation and capitalization for you. Say what you mean, not what you'd write.
Release the hotkey and your text lands wherever your cursor is. No copy-paste, no extra steps.
Privacy
Talkpad listens only while you hold your hotkey. Audio is processed securely for transcription and is not stored after processing. We do not collect screen context, clipboard context, keystrokes, or transcription content for analytics.
Read the privacy policy →Talkpad does not watch your screen or read the app you are using to guess context.
Your dictated text goes to your cursor. We count words for plan limits, not content.
Hotkey recording makes it clear when audio is being sent for transcription.

Reliability
The macOS app keeps the latest transcription visible in the menu so a missed insertion does not mean lost words.
Open the menu and copy the last result if another app blocked insertion.
When accessibility paste is unavailable, Talkpad saves the result to the clipboard so you can paste manually.
The app tells you when Accessibility or Microphone permission is needed.
Platform access
macOS is available now. Windows is in waitlist access, and iPhone and Android demand is being tracked by platform and use case.
