Can’t hear you?
- Check System Settings → Privacy & Security → Microphone and enable Talkpad.
- Confirm the correct input device in macOS Sound settings.
- If Bluetooth audio sounds delayed or inaccurate, try the built-in microphone or a wired headset.

Quick fixes when dictation gets stuck.
Most issues are permissions, microphone selection, network/VPN blocks, or the target app refusing pasted text.
Text did not appear?
- Open the Talkpad menu and copy the last transcription.
- If Accessibility is disabled, the result is saved to your clipboard so you can paste manually.
- Enable Talkpad in System Settings → Privacy & Security → Accessibility for direct insertion.
Connection issue?
- Talkpad requires internet access for cloud transcription.
- If you use a VPN, proxy, firewall, or security tool, allow talkpad.ai and api.talkpad.ai.
- Check https://api.talkpad.ai/health. It should return ok true.
