This is the difference between dictation that supports many languages and dictation that translates. Plenty of tools will transcribe you accurately in the language you spoke. This writes in one you did not.
It is most useful in the places where switching tools costs the most: answering a customer, replying to a colleague in another office, or writing a message you would otherwise have put off until you had time to translate it.
The same account works on every device you sign in on, and your audio is not stored after it has been transcribed.

Which languages can I speak and write in?
Over 100, including Spanish, Portuguese, French, German, Japanese, Korean, Chinese, Russian, Vietnamese, Hindi, Italian and Turkish. You can speak any of them and write in any other.
Do I have to pick the language every time?
No. You set an output language once and it stays until you change it.
Does this replace a translator for important documents?
No. It is built for everyday writing such as replies, messages and notes. For anything legal, medical or contractual, use a professional translator.
Where does the translated text appear?
At your cursor, in whatever app you are already using. There is no separate window to copy from.
What does it cost?
Translation is part of Pro, which is $8 a month or $72 a year during launch. Every new account gets 14 days of Pro.
